Clogs...the New It Shoe?!

This was sent to us by an eagle-eyed reader well aware of our love/hate thing with clogs (good eyes, Ellen!):

It can't really be possible...can it? We've spent the better part of this year trying to shake off our clogs, and here is old Piperlime, seducing us back with their siren song. BETTER clogs! NEWER clogs! COOLER clogs! ACCEPTABLE clogs!

Fair enough, these aren't our Danskos. It's hard to even see any Dansko in these clogs, with their studs and heels and general European fabulousness. Maybe the similarity is in the comfort...like, if I put them on I'd feel like I was wearing my Danskos, rather than Sarah Jessica Parker's?

I think not. And I'm afraid that means the one good thing about clogs, how damn comfortable they are, is missing, and then what's the point? You've got ugly sitting on top of a whole lot of stacked wooden painful and that, my friends, may be good for SJP, but not for me.
