When I see this picture of Nicky Hilton, I think to myself "why do those items not look like that on me?" Since I am a struggling 20-something, I don't have the luxury of shopping at Top Shop or Halston, where these amazing separates are guaranteed to fit perfectly and look great BUT that doesn't stop me from trying.
I have been salivating over these sequin tops ever since they first started to come back into style and after trying on a handful of reasonably priced options, I just couldn't find one that looked right and still felt age appropriate until a glorious trip to the three-story H&M on Broadway in NYC. At first, the amount of clothes felt overwhelming but I was quickly drawn to the sequin section of the store, where I ran into this cream colored top (H&M $38).
What I like about it is that it's large (big enough to be worn as a dress) and can double as a going out or work look, when rocked appropriately.
If this top could talk, I think it would scream MY OWNER HAS STYLE, which is, to me, more important than always looking fabulous.
