This is the first from the trip to New York.
It's a hat (Betmar New York), which I love to buy, but never wear.
It's got a flower, which is not usually my style.
It's not warm, because it's got that cool loose-knit-thing going on.
It's a hybrid, part ski and part baseball, which is often too confusing for me.
It makes my hair more static-y than that parachute in elementary school gym class ever could.
But pushing through what you'd usually do is what we're here for, right? So I bought it.
For the static - wipe the inside with a dryer sheet periodically. Or, better yet, toss it into the dryer (air dry setting - no heat) with a dryer sheet. The static will come right back very quickly, but at least you'll get some temporary relief from it.
ReplyDeleteRegarding warmth, either find an ultra-thin skull cap that can go underneath it, or... you seem to imply you don't normally wear hats... isn't a not-warm hat still warmer than no hat at all?
Christine! You are our official Hints from Heloise contributor regarding those irksome details. Keep it coming - I already tried the dryer sheet with great success (and wish I could keep one on my head throughout the winter). Thanks for coming by.
